Mehr Demokratie e.V. is a German non-partisan, non-profit registered association founded in 1988.  Its intention is the broadening of democracy via fair regulated referendums and a reform of electoral laws. Even though the institution of federal referendums in Germany is Mehr Demokratie's main purpose, they work on all political levels - from community to state, federal and European scale. We cooperate with numerous political scientists and universities, publish a variety of journals and deliver referendum related consultancy to citizens' groups. To foster their goal in political process, they lobby with parties and parliaments where possible and conduct referendum campaigns where inevitable.
